Whether it’s Work or Personal challenges, it always surprises me how the act of deciding to tackle a problem, magically alleviates its impact.
Everytime I feel overwhelmed, I remind myself that it is only bothering me because I have chosen to ignore or avoid it.
This concept is so simple yet truly magical.
I am yet to come across a problem that I decided to tackle with relentless focus and couldn’t smash it. And it is not just me. I haven’t come across a single person who has done the same & couldn’t get on top of their problem quickly.
The beauty is that you don’t have to wait until after the problem is resolved to feel better. Knowing that you have decided to tackle it and started to focus on the solution itself gives a feeling of comfort.
Here is what I have seen work:
When feeling overwhelmed, pause and reflect on the problems that are causing that feeling. Questions if it is a real/genuine problem. If it is genuine and important, make the conscious decision to tackle it. When you do, solutions start to show up.
